Hello, I'm Sarah Bolger.

Wife. Momma. Cajun gal from South Louisiana. Lover of LSU football, podcasts, audiobooks, binge watching shows, coffee and wine. I'm originally from Lafourche Parish, but have lived in and near Baton Rouge, Louisiana since 2006. Melançon is my maiden name, but I kept using it for my business after getting married and becoming a Bolger. When not working, you can find me chasing after my littles, chauffeuring my big kiddos around town, riding my bike around the neighborhood, or possibly trying to watch a movie with my husband without falling asleep. IYKYK ;-)

I think my love for photography comes from my parents' love of documenting my siblings' and my childhood moments. Back then, you would rarely find my mom without the camera in her hands or my dad without the *very* large 80's video camera on his shoulder (haha) at family gatherings and school events. One of my favorite things to do back then was watch "home movies" no matter how old they were. I am as sentimental as it gets.

After starting college, I started photographing people before I knew what I was doing, not knowing what it or I would become. When I decided to really give it a go, I switched my major to photography and got my BFA from LSU in 2011. With any degree, I believe, nothing truly prepares you for the real world, but I was fortunate to explore other mediums of art in several different classes. I have an appreciation for it all, but my passion lies within photography. To capture something real, freeze a moment in time, is really beautiful.
